View some of our favorite craft rum cocktail recipes–a perfect way to enjoy the pure, unadulterated flavor of Faraday West Inidies Rum. Try any of the following categories:

RUM CLASSICS

Hemingway Daiquiri

  •  2 ounces Faraday West Indies Rum 

  • ¾ ounce freshly squeezed lime juice 

  • ½ ounce freshly squeezed grapefruit juice 

  • ½ ounce maraschino liqueur 

  • Lime wheel garnish 

In cocktail shaker add rum, juices, liqueur and ice and shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with lime wheel. 


Daiquiri No. 6 

  • 2 ounces Faraday West Indies Rum 

  • ¾ ounce fresh lime juice 

  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar 

  • 1 whole grapefruit juiced 

  • ¼ ounce dark crème de cacao 

  • Garnish smoked salt 

Prepare Old Fashion glass with rim of smoked salt. Blend all ingredients in a blender with 1 cup of cracked ice until smooth and pour in Old Fashion glass. 


West Indies Cablegram 

  • 2 ounces Faraday West Indies Rum 

  • 3/4 ounce ginger sugar syrup 

  • ½ ounce freshly squeezed lime juice 

  • Top off with sparkling water (club soda) 

  • 1 dash freshly grated nutmeg 

  • Garnish gingered candy or candied sugar. 

In cocktail shaker, shake rum, ginger syrup, lime juice and ice. Strain into a chilled glass. (Can also go over ice). Garnish with nutmeg and gingered candy. 

 

RUM TWIST ON CLASSICS

West Indies Old Fashioned 

  • 2 ounces Faraday West Indies Rum 

  • 2 dashes orange bitters (Angostura can be used as substitute) 

  • ¼ ounce simple syrup (or 1 raw sugar cubes) 

  • 1 orange peel 

  • 1 maraschino cherry 

  • 1 orange peel slice 

Stir ingredients over ice. Strain into a rocks glass with a large sphere or cube of ice. Garnish with orange peel and maraschino cherry. 


Sugar Hill Manhattan 

  • 2 ounces Faraday West Indies Rum 

  • ¾ ounce sweet vermouth 

  • 2 dashes bitters 

  • 1 maraschino cherry 

  • Garnish orange peel twist 

In cocktail shaker mix ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled glass. Garnish with cherry and orange peel. 


West Indies Rum Negroni 

  • 1 to 1 ½ ounce Faraday West Indies Rum 

  • 1 ounce Campari 

  • 1 ounce sweet vermouth 

Combine ingredients with ice, stir and allow to dilute a bit. Strain into a rocks glass with sphere of ice. Garnish with orange peel. 

 

MODERN TAKES

Rum Sidecar 

  • 1 ½ ounces of Faraday West Indies rum 

  • ¾ ounce of Grand Marnier 

  • ¾ ounce of fresh lemon juice 

  • orange twist 

  • Sugar and nutmeg rim 

Coat the rim of a coupe glass with sugar, nutmeg and set aside. Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake. Strain into the prepared glass. Garnish with an orange twist 


Perfect Storm 

  • 2 ounces Faraday West Indies Rum 

  • ½ ounce of freshly squeezed lemon juice 

  • Fresh mint 

  • Top off with ginger beer 

  • Garnish lemon wedge 

Muddle mint. Fill highball with ice, pour rum and lemon juice over and stir. Add ginger beer, stir and add lemon wedge garnish. 


Midnight Oil 

  • 1 ½ ounces Faraday West Indies Rum 

  • ¾ ounce cold-brew coffee 

  • ¼ ounce Domaine de Canton ginger liqueur 

  • ¼ ounce Giffard Banane du Brésil liqueur 

  • Garnish with skewered bruleed banana slice 

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake. Strain into a coupe and garnish with banana slice. 

 

TIKI

Jungle Bird 

  • 1 ½ ounces Faraday West Indies Rum 

  • ¾ ounce Campari 

  • 1 ½ ounce pineapple juice 

  • ½ ounce freshly squeezed lime juice 

  • ½ ounce demerara syrup 

  • Garnish pineapple wedge 

In cocktail shaker add rum, Campari, juices, syrup and ice. Shake well. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice. Garnish with pineapple wedge. 


Painkiller 

  • 2 ounces Faraday West Indies Rum 

  • 4 ounces pineapple juice 

  • 1 ounce orange juice 

  • 1 ounce cream of coconut 

  • Garnish nutmeg and pineapple wedge 

In cocktail shaker add rum juices, cream of coconut and ice. Shake well. Strain into a chilled highball with fresh ice. Sprinkle nutmeg on top and add pineapple wedge. 


Mai Tai 

  • 1 ounce Faraday West Indies Rum 

  • 1 ounce white rum 

  • ¾ ounce orange Curaçao 

  • ¾ ounce freshly squeezed lime juice 

  • ½ ounce orgeat 

Garnish with lime wheel and mint sprig.
